Notice of Township Elections 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the qualified voters of Oronoco Township, Olmsted County, Minnesota, that filing for town office will be held for a two-week period.

Filing shall begin on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, and will close on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

Affidavits of Candidacy will be accepted for the following offices to be voted on at the November 3, 2026, Election:
Supervisor A — four (4) year term
Clerk — four (4) year term

A candidate may file for only one position.

Affidavits of Candidacy shall be filed with the Town Clerk by appointment or between 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. at Oronoco City Hall, 115 2nd St. NW, on July 28, 2026. The filing fee is $2.00 (cash or check only).

Contact the Township Clerk, Jody Schroeder, at 507-367-2737 to schedule an appointment to file an Affidavit of Candidacy.

The last day to withdraw after filing is Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

The Olmsted County Elections Office, 2122 Campus Dr. SE, Suite 300, Rochester, MN 55904, is the designated absentee voting location for the November 3, 2026 Election.

Please visit the Minnesota Secretary of State website for information on how to register to vote or to update your registration online.

 If you would prefer to register using a paper application, you may request one and return it the Olmsted County Elections Office at 2122 Campus Dr SE Suite 300 Rochester MN 55904.

Please visit the Olmsted County Elections Office for all absentee ballot requests and information on voting in-person absentee.

The Township Election will be held March 11, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Oronoco City Hall. The Township Annual Meeting will begin at 8:15 PM that same day.

For election day, residents of Oronoco Township vote at their polling place which can be located by visiting the Minnesota Secretary of State website. You can also use the Election Day Finder Tool to determine your election district, who represents you, and candidate information.
