Township Board Meetings are held at the Oronoco Community Center on the second Monday of the month at 5:30PM as long as it is not a holiday.
A burning permit is required for any un-contained fire. Oronoco Township no longer issues the permits.

Oronoco Township has a Planning and Zoning Advisory Commission that reviews requests submitted to Olmsted County for properties in the township. They then make recommendations to the Township Board based on their findings.

This Commissions typically meets the third Monday of the month at 6:00 PM in the Oronoco Community Center.

The members of the Oronoco Planning Advisory Commission are appointed by the Township Board. Periodically, new members are needed. If you are a township resident and are interested in serving on this commission, contact the Township Clerk.

The Oronoco Planning Advisory Commission meetings are held at the Oronoco Community Center on the third Monday of the month at 6:00PM. Please check the calendar the day of the meeting or call the Commission chair before coming. If there are no agenda items or there is not a quorum, the meetings are canceled.

The Oronoco Parks are controlled by the City of Oronoco. Contact the City Clerk in the Oronoco Community Center.

There are three Township Supervisors and they are elected to 3 year terms. One seat opens each year. The clerk and treasurer are elected on alternate years to a two year term. The elections are held on the first Tuesday of March at the Oronoco Community Center. If you are interested in running and are an Oronoco Township resident, you can get the form from the Township Clerk. There is a $2 fee that is collect by Olmsted Country to get your name on the ballet. You should allow at least 8 weeks before the election to submit your form.
